Kingsbarns
is a traditional links style course directly on the seashore:
Stretching along 1.5 miles of spectacular seacoast just 6
miles from St Andrews, this traditional links course incorporates
the site of the original Kingsbarns Golf Course dating from
1793. Every hole features views of the sea framed by sandy
beaches, rocky shoreline or Cambo Ness. The par 3 15th (right),
offers a dramatic carry over an inlet of the sea to a green
located on the promontory known as Cambo Ness.

                     One
of the most fascinating features on the golf course is a stone
bridge dating from the 1700's which was unearthed during construction
after more than 160 years of disuse. This bridge crosses a
stone-lined burn which fronts the 18th green. Truly a unique
opportunity to play links golf in its purest form amidst tumbling
sand dunes, wee burns, and a most majestic seacoast.

Kingsbarns Golf Links opened on 17 July 2000. The turf has
been carefully nurtured to assure the finest in links firmness,
bounce and roll. The clubhouse and other amenities are now
complete. The Kingsbarns Golf Links site has long been known
for its intimate connection with the sea. The fact that it's
golf origins date back to 1793 is testimony to the attributes
of the site which foster ideal conditions for links turf to
                    flourish amid interesting natural terrain.
